The story of Awakened Heart Ministries (“AHM”) is part of the larger, biblical story of faith in a sovereign and good God, who is mysteriously moving through human history (Often slowly and silently, but always forward and faithfully) to restore alienated and broken men back to Himself and to His masculine design and purpose for their lives in this world through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

AHM began in 1998 when several men began to meet together for the purpose of understanding how God designed their masculinity to be lived out in this world for His glory. In the years that followed, God slowly brought together more and more likeminded men, so that by 2005 a number of men began to regularly seek God together so as to discern His will for this growing movement.

In August of 2008, after much prayer, AHM was founded as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the enthusiastic support of those men whose lives began to experience deep hope and life-giving direction through this movement.

Since that time, we have continued to know God’s blessings. Even as we have stumbled over the years in our execution of this AHM stewardship, God’s sovereign hand has kept and guided us, graciously giving us continued opportunities to serve Jesus by sharing with men a truly transformative message of hope and direction. For this we are profoundly thankful.
